What We Do:
Each appointment follows the plan selected at booking. Services cover general housekeeping such as surface cleaning, dusting, floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and light organization. Additionally, deep cleaning, specialty materials, and non-routine tasks can be arranged separately upon request and are billed accordingly.
All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided by Lustre.
Clients who prefer to use specific products may supply them for use at their home.

For on-base appointments, access requirements vary by location. Some of our team members hold base passes; others may need an escort or sponsor for entry. We coordinate each visit in advance to make the process smooth and compliant with base security procedures.
Services include regular housekeeping, deep cleaning, and vacation rental (Airbnb / Minpaku) maintenance for both private residences and managed properties.
Scheduling & Access
We keep scheduling flexible and straightforward. Once your booking or payment is confirmed, your preferred time is secured. If you need to adjust your appointment, changes made with at least 18 hours' notice are always free.
If access to the property is not possible at the scheduled time, a standard visit fee may apply to cover reserved staff time.
When we are entrusted with keys, access cards, or gate codes, they are kept securely and handled with the same care we apply to your home.
Health & Safety
For safety, pets must be secured, walkways kept clear, and air conditioning or heating maintained at a comfortable level during cleaning. Personnel do not move heavy furniture, climb unsafe heights, or handle hazardous materials. If unsafe or unsanitary conditions are found, service may be paused until resolved. Personnel follow hygiene and safety standards consistent with Japanese labor rules and U.S. military base guidelines. During Okinawa’s typhoon and humidity seasons, procedures may be adjusted to maintain safety and protect equipment.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Client privacy is absolute. All observations, conversations, and details of the client’s home are treated as confidential. Personnel are prohibited from sharing or posting any information or images related to client premises or belongings. See our Commitment to Privacy for more information.
Quality & Follow-Up
Clients are encouraged to review completed work. If any area requires additional attention, Lustre will arrange a complimentary return visit within 48 hours. Refunds are not normally issued after service completion, but concerns are handled promptly and in good faith.
Payments & Billing
Service fees are quoted in Japanese Yen and do not include tax. Payment is due at the time of service or in advance for recurring plans. Accepted methods include cash, major cards, bank transfers, and digital payments. USD and Euro payments are accepted at the Bank of Japan’s official daily exchange rate plus a small handling margin.
Weather & Access Conditions
Okinawa’s climate requires flexibility. When Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) or HPCON alerts restrict civilian movement or base access, appointments are automatically postponed and resumed when conditions allow. If severe weather or official restrictions affect service, appointments may be postponed without charge.
Insurance & Controls
Lustre maintains general liability insurance and applies internal quality and information security controls consistent with ISO/IEC 27001 principles. Personnel are regularly evaluated to ensure consistent standards of performance and confidentiality.
